Racial Equity in Engineering Education
Dr. Brooke Coley is a critical scholar, pioneering leader, and founding executive director of the Center for RARE JUSTICE at Arizona State University. She drives bold, justice-centered innovation, applying out-of-the-box approaches to dismantle systemic barriers, empower Black students, and transform institutions. Grounded in her unique brand of engineering justice and innovating through the lens of love, her research challenges graduate education norms and demands accountability for the lived experiences of minoritized individuals. A recognized thought leader, she received the 2024 William Elgin Wickenden and Betty Vetter Awards and was named a 2023 Virtual Visiting Scholar by the ARC Network.
